I am not afraid...
I was born to do this.
— Joan of Arc

I am a holistic body-inclusive psychotherapist in private practice in the Chicago area. I hold a Masters degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Jane Addams College of Social Work and completed post graduate training in marital and family therapy at the Institute for Juvenile Research in Chicago.

I have devoted my career to helping families, couples and individuals navigate their way through life cycle transitions, address vulnerabilities such as mental illness and addictions, and heal from trauma and interpersonal violence. My professional journey has included experience in child welfare, in directing specialized programs for adolescents and families, and being part of a multi-disciplinary team in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry settings.

From 1997 through the end of 2020, I was a member of the clinical team at the Center for Contextual Change, the preeminent practice in the Chicago area for the treatment of trauma and abuse. During the last fifteen years of my time at CCC I also supervised, trained and mentored the clinical staff while serving as the Clinical Director.

As described in my article “The Body Comes to Therapy Too” (Clinical Social Work Journal, 2014), I honor the importance of the interrelationship between body, mind and spirit by incorporating a variety of evidence-based, integrative practices into the way that I work with my clients.
